SAMEERA ALI APPOINTED TO THE HALTON POLICE BOARD

OAKVILLE, ON, March 12, 2024 – On February 14, 2024, Halton Regional Council appointed Milton Councillor Ms. Sameera Ali to the Halton Police Board for the remainder of the 2022-2026 term of Council.

Ms. Ali has been serving as Ward 4 Councillor in the Town of Milton since 2018.  She holds a Masters Degree in International Relations. Professionally she has over 15 years of experience in managing multi-lingual Public Relations and marketing campaigns for clients all over the world. She continues to serve the community with compassion while volunteering her time on 11 boards/committees and various local causes.

“It is such an incredible honour to be part of this prestigious board,” said Ms. Ali. “As someone who has been an avid advocate for public safety for many years, I am excited to learn more about community safety, policing and judiciary through this role. I want to thank the Halton Regional Council and the Halton Police Board for their confidence in me, I hope to make everyone proud.”

Ms. Ali was sworn in on Monday, March 11, 2024, and will join her first Board meeting on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
